The E46 M3 SMG II Electric Motor (New) 21532229715, 21532229716, 21532282257, 21532282364 is a reengineered pump motor designed for the BMW E46 M3 SMG II pump. This enhanced motor provides an upsurge of 20% in performance compared to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) motor, ensuring a superior level of efficiency.

One key attribute of this upgraded pump motor is its machined aluminum heat sink. This integrated feature maintains optimal temperatures, preventing overheating, regardless of whether the vehicle is in standard use or being pushed to its limits on a racetrack.

Specifically designed to accommodate the SMG duty cycle, this unit can handle high torque pressure requirements of up to 90bar (1300 PSI). This is crucial as 90% of SMG pump failures result from motor malfunction and loss of system pressure.

The E46 M3 SMG pump motor kit includes a high torque DC motor, a drive coupler, two new installation screws, a sealing gasket, a grease packet, and comes with a one-year warranty.

For warranty coverage, replacing the salmon relay and 40amp fuse is obligatory. If a previous motor failure occurred, changing the salmon relay and 40amp fuse is also essential to prevent possible erratic pump on/off times and potential damage to new components.
