Product Description: The 167002 is a new hydraulic fluid oil reservoir, specifically designed for the Ferrari 360 and 355 models. This oil tank features an integrated filter system, providing an initial layer of protection against contaminants.
Despite the robust filtering, oil degradation due to the accumulation of dirt, debris, and moisture is inevitable over time, potentially leading to sludge formation at the tank’s bottom. Consequently, reusing an old reservoir during F1 system gearbox service may introduce degraded or contaminated fluid back into the system.
This contamination may cause several problems, including solenoid wear, often indicated by rough gear changes, and accumulator damage, manifested in the system’s inability to achieve minimum spike pressure. In severe cases, contaminated oil may lead to total component failure, resulting in costly repairs and system downtime.
Please note that this oil tank is compatible with a more recent F1 system version. If your vehicle uses an earlier version oil tank, a new screw cap will also be required.
